Ron Paul will be heading to Des Moines, Iowa, on August 5th, for the Republican Presidential Debate. This debate is hosted by ABC and will be aired on "This Week." The moderator is George Stephanopoulos.
This will be another gathering of Ron Paul supporters enmasse. The other candidates and the media will not be able to ignore the monumental support coming from the Ron Paul Revolutionaries!
ABC has yet to release exact details.

Ill go but do i have to have a ticket or is it free? I called the co-sponsor of the debate, Des Moines ABC Affiliate WOI-5, thinking it would be easy to get info. After being on hold for 5 minutes, they said they have nothing to do with issuing the tickets and said the ABC Network was issuing the tickets. So she gave me the number of the ABC Network. Of course it was the Audience Comment Line where there is no way to talk to a live person. So I called ABC News in New York . . . they were also clueless, but said "you can watch it on TV." I said "I would like to be there in person," so he transfered me to ABC News Washington. I was told there that the tickets where being handled by someone at Drake and to call them. When I called Drake my call was passed through to a Professor. Of course I got his voice mail and left a message. All I could find on Drake's Website was this, "Live Republican presidential debate in Drake’s Sheslow Auditorium, airs beginning at 8 a.m. Central Daylight Time on ABC News." So I called the Sheslow Auditorium box office at 515-271-3841 and according to the recording they should have been open, but no one answered. I need a beer. ps Nick if your looking for Press Credentials ABC Washington is handling those.

Well the saga continues . . . the professor called me back . . . and not too happy . . . he informed me he had nothing to do with the debate and gave me someone else's number to call . . . then asked, sternly, which number I called to get his office. I told him the main university number. He hung up in disgust. I got the feeling he might have something to do with the debate. So I called the next person on the ever expanding list . . . and of course, I made it all the way to their voice mail. The wait goes on. I think it will be hard to get tickets. So if anyone from our group wants tickets it would be smart not to pass this around until you secure yours.

I found out how to get on the list for tickets to the Des Moines Debate on August 5th. ABC is in the planning stages of how to distribute these tickets and the lady I talked to said that I was the first person to ask for these tickets. P.S. she was thrilled to hear that Ron Paul was already advertising this debate. Ryan
